About Us
Richard Frisch is President of Covergyx, a strategic communications consultancy. He has a 30-year track record of creating game-changing communications vehicles in the areas of corporate, crisis and regulatory issues management.
Mr. Frisch began his media career at CBS News, covering national politics. He then joined Reuters, where he launched a broadcast television division, and became the founding president of Reuters Television. Mr. Frisch went on to create his own firm, CTV, a strategic communications and outreach consulting organization. The firm was acquired by Medialink, and Mr. Frisch became president of the new organization, Medialink Strategic Communications. In 2015, Mr. Frisch created Coverygyx Media.
Over the years, Mr. Frisch has advised many of the world’s largest corporations on a range of high-profile communications initiatives, including Altria and Philip Morris surrounding the regulation of tobacco; Diageo's corporate launch and national award-winning programs on Underage Drinking and Drinking and Driving; Microsoft legal and regulatory communications; and Daimler, Chrysler and Fiat communications programs around their corporate development. In addition, he has led a number of other high-profile issue and regulatory efforts for Western Union, General Motors, Southern Company, Philips and Pfizer. Currently Mr. Frisch is advising a portfolio of major clients on reputation, crisis and identity communications programs.
Mr. Frisch and his organizations have garnered a multitude of awards, including a PRSA Anvil, the New York/ABC Ace Award for Communications Excellence and the CSR Excellence Award with Diageo for their Drink IQ campaign, as well as awards for corporate image films from the U.S Industrial Film and Video Festival, long form awards from the New York Video Festival and Association of Visual Communicators, and a Telly Award.
Mr. Frisch is a regular commentator on crisis communications for Bloomberg TV. He is also on the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs National Council, is a recipient of the GW Alumni of the Year Award and is an advisor to a national educational organization.
